Systems Architecture at Succinct Labs
SP1 proves arbitrary Rust LLVM-compiled RISC-V binaries using BabyBear/KoalaBear finite field arithmetic accelerated via custom AVX-512/NEON vectorization and multi-GPU CUDA provers.
Optimize SP1--the open-source RISC-V zero-knowledge virtual machine written in Rust--using Plonky3 finite-field SIMD and GPU polynomial arithmetic. Base pay for this remote role sits at $210,000 to $300,000 USD plus equity.
What You Will Own in Production
- Write custom precompiles for Keccak/SHA256/secp256k1, optimize Number Theoretic Transforms (NTT), and reduce prover memory footprint.
- Profile CPU cache misses, syscall bottlenecks, and tail latency spikes across zkVM, CUDA, no_std services using hardware perf counters and flamegraphs.
- Review architectural RFCs and maintain strict memory-safety invariants in async and unsafe Rust blocks.
Background We Look For
- Production track record shipping low-level systems in Rust, C, or C++ with deep fluency in zkVM, CUDA, no_std, Tokio, Tonic.
- Hands-on experience debugging Linux kernel networking, NVMe storage, or GPU compute pipelines under heavy load.
- Compensation: $210,000 to $300,000 USD per year, equity grant, and full remote workstation budget (US / Remote).
