Inside the Stack (no_std / QUIC / libp2p)
Anduril Industries runs Rust where garbage pauses and unpredictable memory growth are unacceptable. Autonomous vehicles operating over degraded, high-packet-loss RF links cannot rely on cloud TCP brokers. Our Rust mesh stack synchronizes sensor tracks peer-to-peer using custom QUIC/UDP gossip and CRDT state replication.
Core Challenges on Your Plate
- Write zero-allocation Rust networking daemons on embedded ARM64 Linux and `no_std` microcontrollers with strict real-time latency bounds.
- Scale internal components leveraging no_std, QUIC, libp2p, Tonic, Prost while keeping binary compile times and memory RSS tight.
- Instrument p99.9 latency metrics and lead root-cause incident analyses across distributed clusters.
Requirements & Verified Salary Band
- Deep familiarity with idiomatic Rust, async execution models, and systems debugging tools (`gdb`, `perf`, `ebpf`).
- Prior ownership of production storage engines, compilers, network proxies, or cryptographic runtimes.
- Base salary: $195,000 to $270,000 USD + equity. Location: US (Hybrid / Remote Eligible).
